Let's know each other

Hello. I am Dolors Permanyer, one of the English teachers in IES Manolo Hugué. This weblog is created to help students of English to write and read this new language. Students in 3rd A in Manolo Hugue are working together with some Finnish students. We are going to use this site to talk about our experience and our exchange. I don't know if everybody is aware that the Finnish students are coming to Barcelona from the 14th to the 21st of May, and they are visiting us in Caldes de Montbui on Thursday 19th and Friday 20th. Ah, I forgot!! We are going to Port Aventura all together on Friday.

Hello, we just want to say we are really looking forward to seeing our Finnish friends. We will go to the science museum and also to port Aventura. They are going to stay at our houses for two nights. We are afraid we cannot speak correct English, but our teacher says we shouldn't worry because we will be able to communicate!!

Hello everybody. This site doesn't seem too active. Please, I'd be happy if you send more comments. We have almost everything ready for the Finnish to come here. Remember the plans we have together:
Wednesday: we meet at the science museum.
Thursday: we meet in Caldes. A private coach will get the Finnish people in Barcelona and bring them to Caldes. Once in Caldes we will keep all the luggage in one school room and spend the day in the school. We will go out for lunch to a park, come back to school and watch what the Finnish students have prepared for us abou Finland. After this we would like to show you around Caldes, go back to school to get the luggage and finally go home! Everybody will have supper with their partner and and then go to bed.
Friday: 8.30: coach leaves to Port Aventura. We hope everybody enjoys it. We'll be back about 19.00. After this everybody goes home with assigned partner.
Saturday: 9.00 Everybody at school to say goodbye to the Finnish people. A private coach will take them to the airport.

We hope all of you have the best possible time!!

Really nice layout. It looks intriguing and inviting like an old manuscript. I especially like the golden-like coulour.
Congratulations.

Hi people, I'm excited with this project because we meet people from Finland and we practise English but I have a problem, the student who will come to sleep to my house doesn't answer my questions and I don't know anything of him.
This problem makes me to feel a bit depressed about the project, because I will have a person in my house and I will not speak with him and we will have to be go to bed very soon

Hello Manolo Huguet students!
I'm a teacher of English from IES Can Puig in Sant Pere de Ribes, we went on a trip to USA last september, we were 43 students and three teachers. Students were also worried about food, about not being able to communicate, etc, but don't worry, everything runs smoothly once you are there, or once they are here... once you HAVE ALREADY MET!
Don't worry so much, enjoy it!

Good luck!

Hello,
We are looking forward to finally meet you all. We have been in contact about six months and if you remember, this all started because of the competition!
We had you as guides to visit Barcelona and nowadays I think students want to see you all much more than the city! They are very excited about the visit, as you are too, I think. But I`m sure, everything is going to be just fine.

Hello,
My name is Malla and I am the mother of Hanna, one of the lucky students flying over to Spain next weekend! It has been really great to follow the developments of this project both from Spanish and Finnish point of view. I feel that both sides have gone through a lot of trouble in order make the most of this visit. Many thanks for all kind hospitality extended to our students! Perhaps we will have a chance to return the favor one day. And who knows, maybe some long lasting friendships will come out of this!
